Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford has been an American actress, dancer and vocalist since the mid 1990s. As a young actress, she appeared in Broadway role, she was her role in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. in You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in the Play. Annaleigh Ashley is a Tony Award winning actor and actress has collaborated with directors, actors, and other performers both on screen and stage for all of her career. Ashford's next venture will be an exclusive Hulu show called Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show debuts on November 22 and Ashford is starring alongside Kumail Najiani. Ashford currently works in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust opposite Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch Bachrach. The film will be released as an Hulu Original on Disney DTC. The film will premiere in March 2023. Ashford will make a return appearance on Broadway and will be starring alongside Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. This show will be directed by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team which brought you Hamilton. Ashford played Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, inspired by the scandal which was involving Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp during the national crisis. She was the star of two seasons of CBS comedy B Positive. Also, she was a part of the popular series developed by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, which featured the legendary actresses Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. No stranger to Broadway Ashford has been awarded both the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her performance as Essie. She has also appeared on Broadway in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde and the first role of Lauren in Kinky Boots for which she was nominated for a Tony Award. Ashford splits her life between Los Angeles & New York. Her birthplace was in Denver and grew up there.
