Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was first gymnast to score a perfect 10 on an Olympic occasion. Bela Karolyi later Romanian Gymnastics Coach discovered Comaneci at just seven years old. She first competed in the national junior championships in 1969 and finished 13th. She took the title in 1970. Three gold medals were awarded in her very first contest, a junior pre-Olympic meet in 1972 for communist countries. In 1973 and 1974 she won the junior champion in all-round competitions. Her debut as a Senior in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva, the five-time European champ winning four gold medals and one silver. The first female ever to successfully perform reverse double saltos when dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager, Carol Wayne began working in the entertainment field performing as a figure skater. With her younger sister Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her entertainment career when she was in her teenage years. In her early years Carol was an ice figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. Ice Capades featured performances of skating on ice by actors.
